What is Enterprise in Education?
Enterprise in Education is about business and education working together. The shared ambition is to change young people's attitudes - to work and to life.
DtS is not simply another initiative. It is here to stay. Joined up working between the Scottish Executive, local authorities and the business community will give every young person in Scotland the chance to experience enterprise in education. To become determined to succeed.
What is the Scottish Executive doing?
DtS is a major priority for the Scottish Executive. Already, we:
have put in place staff in each local authority with special responsibility for delivering DtS
are changing the way that we train teachers
are changing the way we deliver education, through enterprising learning and teaching approaches
are partnering with organisations worldwide that have delivered real change in their own countries
are tackling structural barriers that have inhibited change
are winning hearts and minds by demonstrating that enterprise in education can make a real difference
